Gnostic Mass

• Day: the second Sunday of every month
• Time: 12:00-2:00 p.m.

Mass will be followed by a snack-style potluck lunch.

What is the Gnostic Mass?

This is the open ritual of the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, the religious body of the OTO. In the Mass a priest and priestess consecrate wine and cakes and pass them out to the congregation. (You can choose to drink juice instead of wine.)

You don't have to be a member or initiate of the OTO to attend this ritual. The first time you attend at Vortex Camp you don't have to participate at all, you can just watch to see the ritual. Participants are normally asked to make a gesture, to respond to the deacon, and to take communion. At each Mass we explain what to do, it's pretty simple.
